We have been engaged in a search with our direct client, who is a leader in the SAP Apparel and Retail space, and they are looking for a Senior SAP FICO Consultant. This position can be located in any major city in the US, as travel will be required.

The ideal candidate will exhibit expertise in configuration experience in SAP FICO-GL, New GL, AR/AP cost center Accounting, Profit Center Accounting as well as SAP FI integration with MM (Retail), POSDM and SD.

 

Qualifications:

  • Excellent knowledge of Procure to Pay, Retail POS & Order to Cash process.
  • Experience working with multiple company codes handling different currencies.
  • Configuration experience and process knowledge of inventory management procedures like Physical inventory, ABC Analysis/Cycle Counting.
  • Experience configuring different accounting principles in SAP including Cost of Sales accounting, Retail method of accounting, Parallel Ledgers etc.
  • Configuration experience of input & Out- put Taxes.
  • Hands on with ABAP and experience working with customized applications and external interfaces.
  • End to End implementation experience including requirement gathering, designing business blueprints, realization, go-live and support.
  • Experience writing test scripts and performing in- depth testing.
  • Strong knowledge of Master Data conversion and Cut-over process.
  • Previous experience of SAP IS-Retail preferred.
  • Ability to document the process thoroughly as well as present and interact with clients.
  • Ability to work independently with other technical and functional teams.
  • Excellent functional spec writing skills.
  • Hands on with SAP BI-BW reporting.
  • Strong understanding of the business processes and thorough configuration skills in SAP Retail-FICO in the following areas:-
    • General Ledger Accounting
    • Record to Report
    • Month-end/Period end closing
    • Cost Center Accounting
    • Profit Center Accounting
    • Cross-company code transactions
    • Retail Inventory Management
    • Master Data management
  • This role requires extensive Finance and Accounting knowledge along with SAP FICO configuration skills.
  • CPA/MBA (Finance), CA or MS Finance with SAP certification preferred.
  • Customer service and support mindset, ideally with prior customer support/service experience
  • Significant technology solution experience, including with SAP, ideally SAP AFS, including requirements, implementations, testing, etc.
  • Strong leadership & organizational skills
  • Good presentation and facilitation skills
  • Able to multi-task and work under tight deadlines
  • Must be able to work independently with little or no supervision
  • May be asked to mentor consultants at a lower level
  • Must be comfortable working in a multicultural, diverse environment.
  • Willingness to travel both domestic and international
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States
